If you are feeling peckish or need a little pick me up to get you through the day, these mouth watering flapjacks will give you the energy to keep going when you really want to give up...

...But what would you do if you have not taken the time to make any? How would you ever manage?

SERVINGS: 10

INGREDIENTS:
4 oz (115g) soya margarine
4 oz (115g) muscovado sugar
½ lb (225g) rolled oats
3 oz (85g) golden syrup

METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 350°F, 180°C, Gas Mark 4.

Melt the margarine, syrup and sugar.

Stir in the oats and blend together all of the ingredients with a wooden spoon.

Press into a greased baking tin.

Bake for 25 minutes.

Cool for 5 minutes whilst still in the tin.

Cut into squares and leave to cool further.
